Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA: 4K2) has provided a corporate and exploration update, highlighting its rapid transition from portfolio assembly to execution. Since the end of 2025, the company has built a portfolio of three past-producing U.S. tungsten projects across Nevada and New Mexico, expanded its Nevada land position, and begun systematic exploration programs. The company has also closed an oversubscribed private placement of approximately C$3.69 million and submitted an application to a U.S. Defense Industrial Base Consortium solicitation for strategic critical minerals.
Western Star's portfolio now includes the Eagle Point project in New Mexico, which has historical production of approximately 1,800 tons of scheelite-bearing material, historical U.S. Government estimates of significant near-surface tungsten mineralization, and modern USGS sampling returning up to 27.6% WO3. The company's near-term objective at Eagle Point is to drill the historically identified mineralization and potentially advance toward a maiden NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate. The planned 2026 drill program aims to test the principal mineralized zones, investigate grade and continuity, and evaluate extensions along strike and at depth.
The company's Nevada assets, Rowland and White Star, have also advanced. Rowland has been expanded by approximately 170%, and recent exploration identified a one-kilometre tungsten-skarn geochemical corridor with peak soil results of approximately 0.14% WO3. White Star, acquired adjacent to Rowland, creates a six-kilometre prospective exploration corridor. Western Star has commenced drill-permitting at Rowland and engaged Dahrouge Geological Consulting to assist with technical evaluation across its portfolio.
Blake Morgan, President and CEO, emphasized that Eagle Point is a key opportunity because it is not starting from first principles. "The project has historical production, historical U.S. Government exploration, multiple skarn bodies exposed at surface, and modern USGS sampling that returned up to 27.6% WO3. A government-supported program was once planned but never completed. Our goal is to bring modern exploration standards to that historical opportunity and determine whether Eagle Point can support a maiden NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate."
The company's strategy is structured in three phases: acquire, define, and drill & expand. With Rowland advancing toward drilling, White Star undergoing initial modern exploration, and Eagle Point being prepared for its maiden drill campaign, Western Star intends to execute its U.S. tungsten strategy through the remainder of 2026. The company's objective is to discover and define meaningful domestic tungsten resources that can contribute to a secure North American critical-mineral supply chain.
