Western Star Reports High-Grade Tungsten Assays from Nevada Projects, Exceeding Historical Grades

Western Star Reports High-Grade Tungsten Assays from Nevada Projects, Exceeding Historical Grades

Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) reported certified laboratory assay results from its inaugural programs at the Rowland Tungsten Property and adjoining White Star Tungsten Project in Elko County, Nevada. The results, which include rock-chip assays up to 4.02% WO3 at Rowland and 3.00% WO3 at White Star, exceed twice the reported historical grades, marking a significant milestone for the company.

The highest-grade sample, RO-16-01, returned 4.02% WO3 from the Rowland Main workings. Additional standout results include 3.00% WO3 from the White Star Batholith Mine (WS-16-02) and three further samples above 2% WO3 from the Rowland Main Zone. CEO Blake Morgan emphasized that these results demonstrate the high-grade nature of the system and support the company's move into drill target generation.

At the Rowland Tungsten Property, sampling confirmed high-grade tungsten mineralization across all three previously identified zones of historical workings: Northern Zone A, Northern Zone B, and Rowland Main. At Rowland Main, 18 rock-chip, float, and channel samples returned values including 4.02%, 2.69%, 2.56%, 2.11%, and 1.25% WO3, with associated credits of up to 110.5 ppm Mo, 6.82 g/t Ag, 0.4% Cu, and 2.57% Mn. Northern Zone A yielded 0.23% WO3, and Northern Zone B returned up to 1.22% WO3 with coincident silver and copper values.

Initial rock-chip sampling at the White Star Tungsten Property returned two samples grading 0.13% and 3.00% WO3, consistent with historical production grades from the Batholith/Mission Cross Mine. The high-grade sample also showed strongly anomalous molybdenum of 711 ppm Mo.

The company plans to integrate these results with completed UAV magnetic geophysical surveys and pending soil geochemistry to support ongoing drill target generation across the consolidated Jarbidge–Charleston tungsten footprint. Further soil sampling is continuing, and additional updates will be provided as assays are received.

All samples were analyzed by ALS Global in Reno, Nevada, using ICP-MS and fusion XRF methods, with strict QA/QC protocols including standards, blanks, and duplicates. The scientific and technical information has been reviewed by Jasper Mowatt, a Qualified Person under NI 43-101.

Western Star Resources is focused on revitalizing North America's tungsten supply through past-producing assets in historically important mining districts. The company is positioning itself to participate in the growing demand for secure domestic critical mineral supply.
