Viromed Medical AG, a medical technology company specializing in cold plasma technology, has announced the signing of new distribution partnerships for its ViroCAP® product. The agreements cover Spain, Portugal, Greece, the Balkan region, Romania, and Saudi Arabia, significantly broadening the company's international footprint. Each agreement is with a separate company and pertains to an individual market, with minimum purchase quantities agreed upon. Based on these contracts, Viromed anticipates additional sales of at least 3,000 devices per year.
ViroCAP® is a mobile medical device designed for the treatment of skin conditions using cold atmospheric plasma. It is intended for use in hospitals, private practices, and by surgically active medical specialists. The device represents an innovative approach in dermatology and wound care, utilizing the antimicrobial and regenerative properties of plasma.
Uwe Perbandt, Chief Executive Officer of Viromed Medical AG, commented, "With these new distribution partners, we are opening up several attractive markets in Southern and South-Eastern Europe as well as in the Middle East. The strong interest shown by our distribution partners underlines the high demand for our cold plasma technology. The new distribution partnerships are another important step in the implementation of our dynamic growth phase. Partnerships for additional countries are in preparation and are expected to be signed within the next four to six weeks."
These new agreements are part of Viromed's broader international expansion strategy. The company already has numerous distribution and marketing partnerships in place, including an exclusive distribution agreement with the Korean company UMECO covering ten Asian countries, and a distribution partnership with TriPart TITAN GmbH & Co. KG for the Turkish market. The addition of these six new markets enhances Viromed's presence in Europe and the Middle East, providing a platform for increased market penetration and revenue growth.
Viromed Medical AG specializes in the development, manufacture, and distribution of medical products. The company's operating business, listed on the stock exchange since October 2022, focuses on the distribution of innovative cold plasma technology for medical applications through its wholly owned subsidiary Viromed Medical GmbH. Viromed has a broad customer base in the DACH region and beyond, and is committed to advancing the use of cold plasma technology in medicine.
The expansion into these new markets underscores the growing acceptance and adoption of cold plasma technology in medical settings. Cold atmospheric plasma has been shown to be effective in reducing microbial load and promoting wound healing, making it a valuable tool in dermatology and surgery. The partnerships are expected to contribute significantly to Viromed's revenue and market share, reinforcing its position as a pioneer in the field.
