Verizon and Samsung Launch Z Fold8 Preorders with Simplified Pricing and Bundled Offers

Verizon has announced the start of preorders for Samsung's latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, alongside the Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra2, as part of a strategy to combine high-end devices with simplified plan options. The move underscores Verizon's effort to reduce carrier friction by offering its Simplicity Plan, which eliminates network tiers and provides flat-rate pricing.

The Galaxy Z Fold8, priced at $1,899.99, and the larger Z Fold8 Ultra at $2,099.99, are designed for productivity and multitasking on expansive screens. New customers can get the Z Fold8 for $60 per month over 48 months—$30 for the phone and $30 for the plan—without a trade-in, by switching a number from another carrier and enrolling in Auto Pay and paper-free billing. The Z Fold8 Ultra can be obtained for $35 per month after a $420 promotional credit applied over 48 months.

Existing customers can upgrade and receive up to $1,100 off either device by trading in an eligible phone and moving to an Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plan. Verizon's Ultimate Bundle offers a Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Tab S10 FE at no additional hardware cost when purchasing a new Samsung phone on a payment plan or bringing your own device with a new line. The watch and tablet require separate monthly service lines starting at $15 each.

For business customers, Verizon is offering up to $900 off the Galaxy Z8 series with a qualifying trade-in and a My Biz Plan with $15+ monthly add-on spending. The company is also promoting its loyalty program, which provides monthly Verizon Dollars, and Verizon Shine, a weekly sweepstakes for experiences and daily prizes.

Preorders began July 22 at Verizon stores, online, and via the My Verizon app, with retail availability set for August 7. The launch highlights Verizon's push to simplify carrier choices while offering premium devices and competitive trade-in values.
