Uranium Energy Corp. Begins Production at Burke Hollow, Expanding U.S. Uranium Operations

Uranium Energy Corp. (NYSE American: UEC) reported fiscal third-quarter 2026 results highlighting the commencement of production at the Burke Hollow in-situ recovery (ISR) project in South Texas. The company described the project as the largest greenfield ISR uranium project to enter production in the United States in more than a decade. This milestone marks a significant expansion of UEC's domestic uranium operations and underscores the growing momentum behind nuclear energy as a clean power source.

UEC also reported a debt-free balance sheet with $794 million in liquid assets, providing financial flexibility to advance production growth at its Christensen Ranch operation and development activities at the Ludeman and Sweetwater projects. The company is continuing to build what it describes as America's only vertically integrated uranium fuel supply chain, with progress at its planned uranium conversion facility through United States Uranium Refining & Conversion Corp. This integration aims to strengthen the U.S. nuclear fuel supply chain by securing domestic sources for conversion services, which are currently limited in the United States.

The company highlighted federal support for domestic nuclear fuel development through the Department of Energy's "Nuclear Dominance – 3 by 33" initiative, which aims to establish a secure and reliable domestic nuclear fuel supply chain. This initiative aligns with UEC's strategy to reduce reliance on foreign uranium imports. Additionally, UEC noted continued advancement of its Roughrider uranium project in Saskatchewan and its Alto Paraná titanium and vanadium project in Paraguay, diversifying its project portfolio.

Uranium Energy Corp. controls the largest uranium resource base and the most licensed production capacity in the United States, totaling approximately 12 million pounds per year across its Wyoming and South Texas platforms. In Canada, the company controls one of the most extensive land and resource portfolios in the Athabasca Basin, anchored by the Roughrider Project in Saskatchewan. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, United States Uranium Refining & Conversion Corp., UEC is pursuing domestic refining and conversion capabilities to further strengthen the U.S. nuclear fuel supply chain. The company maintains a 100% unhedged uranium strategy, providing full exposure to uranium market fundamentals.

The commencement of production at Burke Hollow is a pivotal step for UEC as it positions itself to meet growing demand for nuclear fuel. With global efforts to decarbonize energy systems and increase energy security, uranium producers like UEC are poised to benefit from renewed interest in nuclear power. The company's debt-free status and strong liquidity allow it to invest in growth while withstanding market volatility.
