Upside Gold's Historic Data Compilation Reveals Major Expansion Potential at Kena Property

Upside Gold Corp. (CSE: UG) (OTCQB: UGODF) provided a progress update on its 10,115-hectare Kena Gold-Copper Property in southeastern British Columbia, highlighting results from an extensive compilation of historic exploration data. The work underscores a large gold-copper mineralized system that extends beyond the historic mineral resource estimate of 2.77 million inferred ounces at 0.486 g/t Au and 0.561 million indicated ounces at 0.544 g/t Au, remaining open in multiple directions and at depth.

The integrated geological, geophysical, and geochemical data outline a mineralized trend spanning at least seven kilometers along strike, indicating significant expansion potential. Multiple priority gold-copper drill targets have been identified for the 2026 program, including the potential to define a second major mineralized zone within the Kena Copper Zone. The compilation was supported by reviewing historical analog documentation and fieldwork from 2025, resulting in an updated digital 3D exploration model.

According to Dr. Trevor Boyd, Vice President of Exploration, “This compilation work has significantly improved our understanding of the Kena mineralized system. Integrating decades of exploration data into a modern 3D model is helping us identify areas where mineralization may extend beyond the historic resource and focus our 2026 drilling on the most promising expansion targets.”

During the compilation of the drillhole database, it was found that of the 24,200 core samples, most recorded only Au results, even though over 90% of historic drilling included multi-element analyses. By extracting silver and copper results from digital and analog certificates, the database now shows copper values up to 71,800 ppm (over 2,900 samples >500 ppm Cu) and silver up to 145 ppm (over 2,650 samples >1 ppm Ag). These results occur in a database with 6,300 samples grading >0.25 g/t Au, with widths averaging 1.87 meters. The addition of copper and silver is expected to demonstrate significant additional value.

Geological integration supports that mineralization is structurally controlled by the Kena Deformation Zone, a major southeast-trending fault zone traced for at least 11 kilometers. Induced polarization surveys identify zones of high chargeability and low resistivity consistent with disseminated pyrite-hosted mineralization over a seven-kilometer strike length. Sporadic historic drilling outside the resource returned wide intervals of gold and copper mineralization, including 117 meters of 0.22% Cu and 0.14 g/t Au, and 90 meters of 0.9 g/t Au.

Soil survey data align with the geological model, with gold and copper anomalies spatially associated with favorable IP and magnetic signatures. The integrated 3D model supports that mineralization remains open laterally and at depth. The company plans to focus 2026 drilling on the Kena Copper Zone to demonstrate continuity and grade for a second mineralized zone, while the southern half of the property, never drilled, also shows potential.
