Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) has outlined its 2026 exploration plans, focusing on inaugural drilling at three priority targets across its British Columbia portfolio. The company is fully funded following a $3.5 million flow-through financing and has secured all necessary permits for the planned programs.
The primary objective is to drill two distinct targets at the 300 km² Atsutla Gold project in northwestern BC: the Highlands high-grade gold vein target and the Swan copper-gold-silver porphyry target. Both targets have never been drilled and have been advanced to drill-ready status through extensive geological, geochemical, and geophysical surveys. At the Highlands zone, quartz veins carrying coarse visible gold have returned assays up to 630 g/t Au and 1,894 g/t Ag, with mineralization spanning a 2.0 km by 1.5 km area within a larger 5.0 km x 4.3 km system. The Swan zone, located 26 km east, features a 1.5 km x 1.5 km multi-element soil anomaly coincident with geophysical signatures typical of porphyry systems, and rock samples have graded up to 11.7 g/t Au, 212 g/t Ag, and 0.81% Cu. A diamond drill program of 1,500 to 2,500 metres is expected to start in late June 2026, with Empire Drilling contracted.
Following the Atsutla program, Trailbreaker will move to its Coho property in central BC, 30 km west of the Mt. Milligan mine. The Coho zone, a copper-gold porphyry target, has a coincident chargeability and resistivity anomaly associated with high-grade surface samples. Drilling of 1,500 to 2,500 metres is scheduled for September 2026, with Dorado Drilling contracted. The company also plans a surface exploration program on the western part of the property, following up on encouraging results from the adjacent Trident property, where drilling returned 183.0 m of 0.77% Cu, 0.51 g/t Au, and 3.4 g/t Ag.
CEO Daithi Mac Gearailt emphasized the significance of the upcoming programs, stating that each target has the potential to be a major catalyst for the company. The technical team has been strengthened with the addition of Charlie Greig as Technical Advisor, who has a proven discovery track record, including involvement in the Saddle North deposit.
More details on the projects can be found in the Atsutla Gold project presentation and Coho property presentation.
