Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) has announced the completion of its maiden drill program at the Swan Zone, within its 100%-owned Atsutla Gold Project in northwestern British Columbia. The Swan Zone is a copper-gold-silver (Cu-Au-Ag) porphyry target defined by coincident geochemical and geophysical anomalies. The completed diamond drill program consisted of two holes totaling 801.00 metres, testing a strike length of 1,000 metres and a vertical extent of 395 metres. This drilling was part of a larger program that also targeted the Highlands Zone, a high-grade vein-hosted gold target located 26 kilometres away and hosted in a different geological unit.
The Swan Zone is characterized by a 1.5 km x 1.5 km multi-element soil geochemical anomaly coincident with a 2.1 km x 1.4 km chargeability anomaly, as identified by a 2024 induced polarization survey. The geochemical anomaly includes elevated gold, copper, silver, arsenic, molybdenum, antimony, and bismuth, with rock grab samples grading up to 11.7 g/t Au, 212 g/t Ag, and 0.81% Cu. The drill program at the Highlands Zone, which preceded the Swan Zone drilling, consisted of four holes totalling 883.40 metres and tested a strike length of 500 metres and a vertical extent of 412 metres.

The Atsutla Gold Project is centered over the regional-scale Teslin-Thibert fault system, which marks the contact between the Quesnel and Cache Creek terranes. Gold mineralization is associated with two distinct Mesozoic batholitic intrusions. Since discovery in 2020, Trailbreaker has outlined five significant zones of gold mineralization across a span of 26 kilometres: Highlands, Christmas Creek, Snook, Willie Jack, and Swan. Each zone exhibits distinct mineralization styles, from high-grade veins with coarse visible gold to porphyry-style copper-gold-silver targets.
The completion of drilling at both the Swan and Highlands zones is a pivotal step in evaluating the project's potential. The company has submitted 1,000 drill core samples to Bureau Veritas' prep lab in Whitehorse, YT, and assay results are pending. These results will be crucial in determining the next phases of exploration and the economic viability of the Atsutla Gold Project.
