Steyr Motors Proposes Two New Supervisory Board Members with Defense and Capital Market Expertise

Steyr Motors AG (ISIN AT0000A3FW25), a global leader in customized engines for mission-critical defense and civil applications, announced plans to appoint new members to its Supervisory Board. The company is proposing Rolf Wirtz and Gerhard Schwartz, two experienced industry and capital market experts, for election at the Annual General Meeting on 10 April 2026.

The move follows the sale of the entire stake by former major shareholder Mutares SE & Co. KGaA in November 2025, which led to the departure of previous Supervisory Board members Dr. Christian Klingler and Fabian Schlegel. Their terms will end at the close of the Annual General Meeting. The company’s invitation to the meeting, published today, proposes the two new candidates to fill the vacancies.

Rolf Wirtz brings extensive experience in the defense sector, having served as CEO of TKMS until 2022. His background is expected to support Steyr Motors in expanding its business in both military and civil sectors. Gerhard Schwartz is a well-known financial expert on the Austrian capital market, with a long career as an auditor and tax advisor, most recently as managing partner at EY. He is designated to lead the audit committee, aiding the company in strengthening financial and control functions for future growth.

Additionally, the company proposes the re-election of Alexander Fitzka, Investment Manager of the B&C Group, who has been a Supervisory Board member since August 2025. Julian Cassutti, CEO of Steyr Motors, expressed enthusiasm for the proposed board, stating, "I am delighted to continue to have a highly qualified and experienced Supervisory Board at my side with the newly proposed Supervisory Board members, who will provide the company with the best possible support and supervision as it takes its next steps towards growth." He also thanked the outgoing members for their cooperation.

The Annual General Meeting will take place on 10 April 2026 at 10 a.m. in Steyr. Relevant documents are available on the Steyr Motors AG website in the Investor Relations section at ir.steyr-motors.com.
