Search Atlas, an AI-powered SEO and marketing platform serving over 30,000 customers and 5,000 agencies worldwide, has completed a full migration of its website, searchatlas.com, from WordPress to Next.js. The move, announced on August 18, 2026, comes after eight years of building on WordPress, a platform that initially offered ease of use and extensibility but eventually became a burden as the site scaled.
The migration is a response to the evolving web landscape, where AI search and agentic browsers demand faster, more efficient websites. WordPress's plugin and theme architecture, while flexible, adds code that slows down page loads and creates potential points of failure. Search Atlas opted for a static HTML site on Next.js, which is designed to load quickly and maintain performance as the site grows. Arman Advani, Partner at Search Atlas, explained, "We built our own site on WordPress for eight years because it was easy, and then we outgrew it the same way our customers do. Moving to Next.js and putting the whole site under Atlas Agent isn't just faster pages - it's us running our own website exactly the way we tell customers to run theirs."
The most significant shift, however, is not the technology but the management. With the migration complete, the entire searchatlas.com website is now under the direct, agentic management of the Search Atlas platform and its Atlas Agent. This means that technical fixes, on-page SEO changes, or new landing pages that previously required a developer familiar with WordPress can now be handled directly through the platform. This covers technical fixes, on-page SEO, conversion rate improvements, paid-media landing pages, and A/B and multivariate testing - all agentically, within the same platform available to customers.
Search Atlas is positioning the migration as a practical proof point. The company's own marketing site now serves as a live example of the agentic website management it offers, operating without the plugin sprawl and maintenance overhead associated with WordPress at scale. For prospective customers evaluating whether an AI-managed site can perform in production under real traffic, Search Atlas points to its own domain, built and maintained using the same methods available to its customers, as the working test case.
Founded in 2021 by Manick Bhan, who also built OTTO SEO, the company's autonomous SEO agent, Search Atlas is headquartered in New York, NY. OTTO SEO won Best AI Search Software Solution at the 2025 Global Search Awards. The company's platform is used by clients across more than 200 countries, and this migration underscores its commitment to leading by example in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
