SeABank has officially increased its charter capital to VND 34,288 billion following approval from the State Bank of Vietnam. The capital hike, from VND 28,450 billion, was executed through the issuance of 583.8 million shares to existing shareholders, funded by accumulated undistributed after-tax profits as of December 31, 2025. This move is part of a broader strategy to bolster the bank's financial standing and growth capacity.
The State Bank of Vietnam issued Decision No. 1269/QD-NHNN on June 12, 2026, amending SeABank's charter capital information in its Establishment and Operation License. The capital increase, amounting to VND 5,838 billion, follows a ratio of 20.5202% and aligns with the roadmap approved by SeABank's 2026 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
In the next phase, SeABank plans to further increase its charter capital through the issuance of up to 40 million ESOP shares at a price of no less than VND 10,000 per share. These shares are reserved for management personnel who meet specific criteria related to work performance, professional competence, and commitment to the bank.
The additional capital is expected to enhance SeABank's market competitiveness and improve its safety ratios amid increasingly stringent capital adequacy requirements. The bank intends to use the funds to expand its business scale, accelerate digital transformation, and invest in technology infrastructure. With a strengthened financial foundation, SeABank will continue focusing on retail banking, improving product and service quality, and delivering sustainable value for shareholders and stakeholders.
