Safe Pro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAI) announced it has fulfilled a U.S. Army order valued at approximately $743,000 for its AI-powered Threat Analysis Kit, which integrates the company’s NODE edge-computing platform with Black Widow drones from Red Cat Holdings (NASDAQ: RCAT). The system is designed to process drone-captured video in real time and rapidly identify threats such as landmines, unexploded ordnance, cluster munitions, and hostile drones. It also generates detailed 2D and 3D battlefield maps for enhanced situational awareness.
This delivery follows a recent subcontract from a defense prime contractor to provide the U.S. Army with battlefield intelligence capabilities powered by Safe Pro’s patented SPOTD technology. The company expects to train Army personnel before the end of June and will provide operational support through the third quarter of 2026. According to Safe Pro, its AI models are trained on a database of more than 2.8 million drone images and over 50,000 confirmed threat detections collected across more than 35,000 acres in Ukraine. This extensive training enables rapid threat identification and analysis in high-risk operational environments.
The field-ready battlefield intelligence system represents a significant advancement in military technology by combining artificial intelligence with unmanned aerial systems. The integration of Safe Pro’s AI capabilities with Red Cat’s drone platform allows for real-time processing of aerial footage, eliminating the need for time-consuming manual analysis. This capability is critical for troops operating in contested environments where every second counts. The system’s ability to generate 2D and 3D maps further aids mission planning and threat assessment.
The U.S. Army contract underscores the growing demand for AI-driven solutions in defense applications. Safe Pro’s technology, built on a cloud-based ecosystem and powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), targets multiple sectors including commercial, government, law enforcement, and humanitarian markets. The company’s SPOTD platform has already demonstrated effectiveness in Ukraine, where it has been used to clear landmines and unexploded ordnance. The successful fulfillment of this order positions Safe Pro for additional contracts as the military continues to invest in autonomous and AI-enhanced systems.
