Powermax Minerals Inc. (CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF) (FSE: T23) announced the commencement of its 2026 exploration program at the wholly owned Cameron Rare Earth Element (REE) project near Revelstoke, British Columbia. The three-week campaign is designed to build on previous geochemical results through detailed geological mapping, prospecting, and targeted ground radiometric surveys.
The program will integrate geological, geochemical, and radiometric data to better define previously identified REE anomaly corridors, constrain potential bedrock source areas, and improve understanding of pegmatite-hosted mineralization. Results will be used to rank exploration targets and guide future work, including potential trenching and drilling. The company noted that the project remains at an early stage and that anomalies do not necessarily indicate economically recoverable mineralization.
Powermax Minerals is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on advancing rare earth element projects. The company holds options on multiple properties, including the Cameron REE Property (approximately 2,984 hectares in British Columbia), the Atikokan REE Property (455 claims in NW Ontario), and the Pinard REE Property (5,178 hectares in Northern Ontario). It also owns a 100% interest in the Ogden Bear Lodge Project in Crook County, Wyoming.

This news matters as it highlights ongoing efforts to develop domestic rare earth element sources, which are critical for various high-tech and green energy applications. The exploration results could potentially impact the supply chain for REEs, which are predominantly sourced from China.
