Powermax Minerals Inc. Currently, China dominates the global supply chain, accounting for over 60% of rare earth mining and about 90% of processing. This concentration poses supply risks for countries like the United States and Canada, which have been working to rebuild domestic capabilities.
Powermax’s projects are located in mining-friendly jurisdictions with established infrastructure. The Cameron REE property in British Columbia is prospective for niobium and rare earth elements, while the Atikokan and Pinard projects in Ontario are near existing transportation routes. The Ogden Bear Lodge project in Wyoming, which the company owns 100% interest in, is one of the largest rare earth deposits in the United States, containing significant resources of light and heavy rare earth elements. The newly optioned Hopkins Rare Earths Project in northern Ontario adds further potential, with historical sampling indicating high-grade rare earth mineralization.
The company’s focus on North American assets aligns with government initiatives to bolster critical mineral supply chains. The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded contracts to support domestic rare earth processing, and Canada has included rare earth elements in its critical minerals list.
