PIX11, in association with 21 Events, will present a live celebration of Latin music at the 116th Street Festival in East Harlem on June 13 from 1-5 p.m. The event, broadcast live on PIX11, will feature a lineup of legendary performers and rising stars, underscoring the festival's role as a cultural cornerstone in the neighborhood known as El Barrio.
One of the centerpieces of the PIX11 Stage will be a tribute to salsa icon Willie Colón, with performances by Luis Damon and Papote Jiménez. The tribute will culminate with a special appearance by Grammy Award-winning artist Roberto Blades, who will perform the classic anthem "La Murga." The homage recognizes Colón's enduring influence on Latin music.
The festival will also welcome Tito Puente Jr., who continues his father's legacy, and freestyle icon Safire, who will perform in Spanish Harlem for the first time since her career began. Safire, who grew up blocks from the festival grounds, is preparing to release her first Spanish-language album in August 2026.

Other performers include internationally acclaimed violinist Alfredo De La Fe, celebrating his 60th anniversary in music; Colombian singer-songwriter Yuri Toro; veteran salsa vocalist Frankie Morales; Panama's Willie Panamá; New York-based salsa project Fuego Taibori; and emerging Bronx duo CRILL & CLOS. Alfredo De La Fe is recognized as the first solo violinist to perform with a salsa orchestra, having worked with Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Willie Colón, and others.
