The Nordex Group has announced three new orders in the United States, with a combined capacity exceeding 480 megawatts. The contracts cover the supply of 81 N163/5.X turbines. The customers and project names have not been disclosed, but the deliveries will be tailored to each customer's requirements, further cementing Nordex's foothold in the U.S. market.
Manav Sharma, CEO of Nordex North America, expressed gratitude for the customers' trust, stating, "These new orders reflect once again the trust our customers place in Nordex and in our ability to deliver and service projects reliably and efficiently. We are grateful for that confidence. Driven by strong customer partnerships, the dedicated execution and service capabilities of our teams, and our robust manufacturing capabilities, we are seeing continued momentum in this region. Our focus remains on delivering value and supporting our customers' long-term energy goals."
The turbines will be manufactured at Nordex's production plant in Iowa, underscoring the company's commitment to local manufacturing and job creation. This investment is part of Nordex's broader strategy to meet growing demand for wind energy in the United States, which remains a key market for renewable energy expansion.
These orders arrive at a time when the U.S. wind industry is navigating policy shifts and supply chain challenges, yet Nordex's success signals resilience and strong customer confidence. The projects will contribute to the country's renewable energy capacity, supporting the transition to cleaner power sources and reducing carbon emissions.
Nordex has been a significant player in the wind energy sector, having commissioned over 64 GW of wind power capacity across more than 40 markets since 1985. In 2025, the company generated consolidated sales of approximately EUR 7.6 billion and employs over 11,100 people worldwide. Its manufacturing network spans factories in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, and the USA. The product portfolio focuses on onshore turbines in the 4 to 7 MW+ classes, designed for regions with limited space and constrained grid capacity.
The company's global service network ensures smooth turbine operation, and Nordex SE is listed on the MDAX and TecDAX of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. For more information about Nordex and its offerings, visit Nordex Online.
