The Nordex Group has received orders from the EFG Energy Farming Group to supply and install twelve wind turbines for several citizen wind projects in Lower Saxony, Germany. The projects, collectively known as 'Erlte-Endel' in the district of Vechta and the 'Bad Essen' project cluster in the district of Osnabrück, will have a combined installed capacity of approximately 82 MW. Each contract includes a Premium Service agreement for a duration of 20 years.
For the 'Erlte-Endel' wind farm, Nordex will deliver and install five N175/6.X turbines mounted on hybrid towers with a hub height of 179 meters. The 'Bad Essen' cluster will comprise seven turbines: five N175/6.X units on 179-meter towers and two N163/6.X turbines with a hub height of 164 meters. This cluster consists of four separate wind energy projects: Langewiesen-Nord, Langewiesen-Süd, Rabber Wiesen, and the Wimmerbruch repowering project.
Initial infrastructure work is scheduled to begin at the end of 2026, with turbine installation planned for 2027 and commissioning expected in spring 2028. The wind farms are developed by the EFG Energy Farming Group and will be operated by landowners and regional citizen wind companies, ensuring local participation and benefit.
