ChillyRoom Game's Independent Studio Crit Team has announced the release of a public multiplayer demo for No Such Place, its upcoming top-down PvE extraction shooter, available on Steam starting June 15, 2026, just ahead of Steam Next Fest.
The demo provides access to the game's early progression system and supports both solo play and online co-op for one to four players. It is available in English, Japanese, and Chinese. Notably, part of the player's progression data from the demo will carry over into the full release.
In No Such Place, players assume the role of agents from the Unknown Research Consortium (U.R.C.), a mysterious organization dedicated to investigating supernatural anomalies erased from known history. Dispatched into fragmented dimensions, agents must survive hostile environments, gather supplies and intelligence, and locate an extraction point before time runs out. The game features a flexible weapon customization system that allows players to attach a motorcycle suppressor to an assault rifle or mount a Victorian brass scope on modern military hardware, as corrupted technology makes almost anything possible.
The demo offers a glimpse into the game's multiple progression paths, where every action reshapes the player's body and instincts, improving physical attributes and weapon proficiencies. Resources recovered during expeditions can be used to build and upgrade the player's Safehouse, preparing them for future missions. Players can team up with up to three other agents to form an expedition squad, covering more ground and taking on dangerous objectives together.
No Such Place is developed by the Crit Team at ChillyRoom Game and is scheduled for release on Steam in Q4 2026. The full game will explore abandoned military outposts, mist-shrouded research facilities, eternal forests, and frozen mountains, where players scavenge for weapons, medicine, equipment, and uncover ancient relics and classified documents.
