City Pass, Inc. has announced significant changes to its New York CityPASS® program, making it easier and more affordable for travelers to experience the best of New York City. The updated ticket now offers a fully flexible format, allowing visitors to choose any five attractions from a curated list of ten premier experiences. This move, coupled with a price reduction, aims to provide greater value and customization for tourists.
The new lineup includes two major additions: Edge Observation Deck & Immersive Experience and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Edge, located at Hudson Yards, is the highest indoor and outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, suspended over 1,100 feet above Manhattan. It offers thrilling glass floors, angled glass walls, and 360-degree views. Recently transformed into a multi-sensory attraction, Edge features permanent installations like NYC’s largest kaleidoscope, the Pulse infinity room with 450 glowing orbs, and the Crystal Cave’s giant colorful crystals. Dining options by Tao Group Hospitality enhance the experience.
The Whitney Museum, situated in the Meatpacking District, showcases 20th- and 21st-century American art, including works by Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Andy Warhol. Its outdoor terraces overlooking the Hudson River and the High Line provide a unique museum experience. These additions join an already impressive roster: Empire State Building Observation Deck, American Museum of Natural History, Top of the Rock® Observation Deck, 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Statue of Liberty Grounds and Ellis Island Official Ferry, Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises, Intrepid Museum, and Guggenheim Museum.
Alongside these enhancements, CityPASS has reduced prices: adult tickets now cost $149 (down from $164), and child tickets are $129 (down from $136), with advertised savings increasing to as much as 51%. “These updates give travelers more control over how they experience New York,” said Megan Allen, president and CEO of City Pass, Inc. “By moving to a fully flexible format, adding new attractions and lowering the ticket price, New York CityPASS® tickets offer even greater value and make it easier than ever for visitors to build the New York experience that's right for them.”
Tickets remain valid for nine consecutive days from first use, and digital tickets are delivered via email and linked to the My CityPASS® app. The app serves as an all-in-one travel companion, allowing users to access tickets, make reservations, get directions, and receive notifications and special offers. This digital integration simplifies trip planning and enhances the overall visitor experience.
