New PAR38 LED Retrofit Lamp from PAR LED Lights Combines 45 Lighting Configurations in a Single Lamp

PAR LED Lights has expanded its commercial LED retrofit portfolio with the HyLite LED Lotus Lamp LS-1830, a PAR38 LED lamp that packs 45 distinct lighting configurations into a single product. The announcement, made on September 10, 2026, signals a shift toward greater flexibility and inventory simplification for commercial lighting specifiers and facility managers.

Unlike traditional PAR38 lamps, which require selecting a specific wattage, color temperature, and beam pattern at the point of purchase, the LS-1830 allows users to choose from three wattage settings (18W, 25W, and 30W), five color temperatures (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K), and three beam angles (25°, 40°, and 60°). This means one lamp can be adjusted on-site to deliver between 1,980 and 3,300 lumens, from warm ambient light to daylight-style illumination, and from concentrated accent beams to broad general coverage.

The implications for commercial environments are significant. Retail stores, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, and healthcare facilities often have varied lighting needs across different spaces. With the LS-1830, a single SKU can serve multiple applications, reducing the need to stock separate lamps for each wattage, color temperature, and beam spread. This simplifies inventory management and reduces the risk of ordering errors. The lamp's CRI above 90 also ensures accurate color rendering, which is critical in galleries, showrooms, and retail settings where merchandise and finishes must appear true to life.

The LS-1830 is designed as a direct retrofit for existing PAR38 applications. It uses a standard E26 medium screw base, measures approximately 4.75 inches in diameter, and operates on 100–277VAC universal input voltage. It is intended to run directly from line voltage after any existing ballast is properly bypassed or removed. Typical applications include track lighting, recessed downlights, retail stores, art galleries, hotels, restaurants, commercial showrooms, offices, schools, healthcare facilities, and accent and display lighting. The lamp can be installed in horizontal or vertical socket orientations and in enclosed fixtures when minimum space and thermal-management requirements are met.

From an efficiency standpoint, the LS-1830 delivers up to 110 lumens per watt, positioning it as a replacement for substantially higher-wattage incandescent, halogen, and other legacy sources. HyLite lists the lamp as an approximate 180W–300W halogen replacement and claims energy savings of up to 90% in qualifying applications, though actual savings depend on the lamp being replaced, operating hours, and installation conditions. With a rated life of approximately 50,000 to 60,000 hours, the lamp also reduces relamping frequency in hard-to-reach recessed fixtures, high ceilings, and commercial track-lighting installations. A five-year manufacturer warranty adds further assurance.

Additional features include IP54 protection, 4kV surge protection, intelligent temperature control, a proprietary heat-sink design, and an optical-grade, UV-protected lens. The lamp is listed as 98% recyclable and contains no lead or mercury, aligning with sustainability goals in commercial facilities.

For lighting professionals and facility managers, the primary advantage is inventory simplification. Rather than purchasing separate lamps for different wattages, color temperatures, and beam spreads, the LS-1830 allows those settings to be selected from a single product. With three wattages, five color temperatures, and three beam angles, one lamp can be configured 45 different ways, streamlining procurement and reducing waste.

PAR LED Lights plans to position the new PAR38 option alongside its existing PAR56 and PAR64 LED retrofit solutions, giving customers a broader range of choices for upgrading existing directional and PAR lighting systems. More information is available at PARLEDLights.com.
