CLEVELAND, OH — Mishkind Kulwicki Law Co., LPA, a personal injury law firm, has announced the creation of the Helping Victims Scholarship, a $1,000 award for students committed to supporting individuals harmed by negligence, recklessness, or malicious actions. The scholarship is open to students from any academic discipline who share the firm's mission of aiding victims in their recovery.
In personal injury law, a victim is defined as someone who suffers physical or psychological harm due to another's wrongful conduct. Attorney Howard D. Mishkind emphasized the firm's dedication: 'We feel fortunate to do the work we do. We take pride in shouldering our clients' legal burdens so they can focus on healing and getting back to the way their lives were before they suffered an unnecessary injury or loss.'
The firm recognizes that support for victims extends beyond the legal field. Professionals in social work, counseling, medicine, advocacy, and public policy all contribute to helping individuals rebuild after experiencing harm. The Helping Victims Scholarship aims to invest in students across these diverse fields. Attorney David A. Kulwicki stated, 'The more people who are out in the world doing good to help victims in need, the better and more compassionate the world will be. We want to support the education of a goal-oriented student with a passion for helping others.'
Eligibility requirements and application materials are available on the firm's scholarship page. Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2027, and the winner will be announced in May 2027. Completed applications should be emailed to dkulwicki@mishkindlaw.com, and questions can be directed to the same address.
Mishkind Kulwicki Law Co., LPA handles a range of personal injury cases, including medical malpractice, birth injuries, brain injuries, motor vehicle accidents, nursing home abuse, truck accidents, vaccine injuries, and wrongful death.
