MEDICLIN Reports Solid First Half of 2026 with Revenue and EBIT Growth

MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft (Ticker: MED; WKN 659 510) reported a solid performance for the first half of 2026, with consolidated group revenues rising 5.0% to EUR 386.4 million from EUR 368.1 million in the prior year. Group EBIT improved by EUR 4.3 million to EUR 26.6 million, reflecting the company's consistent execution of its strategic priorities. The company treated 54,708 patients, up from 53,183 in the same period last year.

CFO Tino Fritz attributed the results to stability in core business areas, efficient cost management, and targeted investments. "We were able to build consistently on the positive momentum from the first quarter. This is clearly reflected in our half-year results," Fritz said. He emphasized the company's determination to maintain momentum and strengthen long-term growth.

In the Post-Acute segment, revenues increased to EUR 263.0 million, a 4.6% rise from EUR 251.5 million. The cost of materials ratio fell slightly to 19.0%, while staff costs rose 7.2% to EUR 145.2 million, leading to a staff cost ratio of 55.2%. EBIT for the segment grew to EUR 25.6 million from EUR 23.3 million.

The Acute Care segment generated EUR 111.2 million in revenue, up from EUR 104.6 million. Cost of materials increased 12.2% to EUR 34.6 million, with the cost of materials ratio rising to 31.1%. Staff costs reached EUR 68.6 million, but the staff cost ratio remained flat at 61.7%. EBIT for the segment was EUR -1.1 million, unchanged from the prior year.

Revenue in the Care segment rose slightly to EUR 12.3 million, with EBIT improving to EUR 0.2 million from a loss of EUR 0.2 million. The Service segment reported other income of EUR 69.2 million, up from EUR 68.5 million, and EBIT increased to EUR 1.9 million from EUR 0.5 million.

Looking ahead, MEDICLIN's management board expects consolidated group revenue growth of 3.5% to 6.5% for the full year, with group EBIT projected between EUR 57.0 million and EUR 72.0 million. The interim report as at 30 June 2026 is available at www.mediclin.de in German and English.
