MAX Power Mining Closes C$20.5 Million Private Placement Led by Eric Sprott to Advance Natural Hydrogen Discovery

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) has closed its previously announced private placement, raising approximately C$20.5 million in gross proceeds. The placement involved the sale of 15,805,624 units at C$1.30 per unit, with renowned investor Eric Sprott as the lead investor. Hampton Securities Limited acted as lead agent and sole bookrunner for the offering.

The company stated that the proceeds will be used to support ongoing evaluation and development of its Lawson Natural Hydrogen discovery in Saskatchewan. Specific activities include analytical testing, resource modeling, seismic acquisition, and additional drilling, along with general corporate purposes. MAX Power believes this represents a scalable natural hydrogen opportunity across its extensive land position.

The Lawson discovery, located near Central Butte, Saskatchewan, is Canada's first-ever subsurface natural hydrogen system confirmed through deep drilling, with data validated by three independent labs. MAX Power has built dominant district-scale land positions across Saskatchewan, holding approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits, with an additional 5.7 million acres under application. These lands cover prime exploration ground prospective for large-volume accumulations of natural hydrogen.

In addition to its hydrogen assets, MAX Power holds a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals. These include the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, where a 2024 diamond drilling discovery was made at the 100%-owned project through its U.S. subsidiary.

The closing of this significant financing, led by a prominent investor like Eric Sprott, underscores the growing interest in natural hydrogen as a potential clean energy source. Natural hydrogen, also known as white hydrogen, is generated through geological processes and could offer a low-carbon alternative to conventional hydrogen production methods. MAX Power's advancement of the Lawson discovery could position the company at the forefront of this emerging sector.
