The Martial Arts History Museum announced the induction of Billy Blanks, the creator of Tae Bo, into its Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 4 pm at the museum in Glendale, California. This honor is reserved for individuals who have significantly reshaped and elevated martial arts history.

Blanks developed Tae Bo in the 1990s, blending traditional martial arts techniques with high-energy aerobic exercise. The Hall of Fame represents the museum's highest honor, recognizing profound influence and innovation. As part of the induction, the museum will unveil Blanks' original Tae Bo shorts, which will be placed on permanent display. His name will also be added to the Hall of Fame wall.

Museum president Michael Matsuda stated, "Billy Blanks didn’t just create a workout - he created a global phenomenon that redefined how people experience martial arts. His vision bridged the gap between tradition and modern fitness."

The event is open to the public, with tickets priced at $20 for adults and $5 for children. A table for purchasing Billy Blanks merchandise will also be available. For more information, visit the Martial Arts History Museum website.
