Makailah Fuentes has transformed her passion for creativity into a business with the opening of Maks Glamm, a new salon located within the Salon and Spa Galleria Weatherford in Weatherford, Texas. After graduating from Cisco College in May 2025, Fuentes became a licensed cosmetologist and certified lash artist specializing in hair, lashes, and nails. Now, as a salon owner, she is bringing her creative vision to the local beauty scene.
"I love being creative and making people feel beautiful and confident," Fuentes said. "This truly is a creative outlet for me."
Maks Glamm offers a comprehensive menu of services, including shampoo, blowdry, haircut and style; color; full and partial highlights; balayage; toner; and root touchup. Clients can also book GelX nails and lash services. Braiding options feature French and Dutch braids, with beads or charms available. For those seeking a touch of sparkle, tinsel, feathers, and color extensions are also offered.
In addition to individual services, Fuentes provides customized event packages for special celebrations such as birthday parties, princess parties, slumber parties, bridal parties, weddings, girls' day out, team celebrations, and bachelorette parties. The Kids Glamm Pamper Packages, designed for ages 12 and under, include a gel manicure, beads, tinsel, feathers, and color extensions.
The salon is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, with evening appointments available by request.
