The Mad Hatter's July 4th Waterfront Festival returns for its 12th year on Saturday, July 4th, 2026, at the Barbara Kondylis Waterfront Park in Vallejo, California. Produced by Hyperion Community Partners LLC in partnership with the City of Vallejo, the event promises a full day of activities from daybreak to sundown, culminating in a Night Market that extends into the evening with live entertainment and a fireworks display.
During the day, attendees can enjoy the Annual Maritime Dog Parade, interactive exhibits including the Wholly Wackers sheep and rescued reptiles, a Kids Zone, giant kites, classic cars, cultural performances, and live music. The festival aims to provide a family-friendly atmosphere with food trucks, wellness activities, and a variety of peddlers and merchants offering handmade goods.
As dusk falls, the festival transforms into a Night Market with an international food court, shopping, and live performances. The evening concludes with a Lighted Sky Show and a Grand Finale fireworks display in honor of the 250th anniversary of Independence Day. The waterfront setting offers views of Mare Island's historic shipbuilding facilities.
Hyperion Community Partners also produces the Mad Hatter Holiday Festival, Parade & Tree Lighting on the first Saturday of December each year.
