As communities across the Texas Hill Country grapple with the aftermath of severe July 2026 floods, LiftFund has launched the 2026 Texas Hill Country Flood Relief Program to provide critical financial support to small businesses and nonprofits. Many of these entities were still recovering from previous floods when the latest storms struck, exacerbating economic hardships in the region.
Through the program, eligible small businesses and nonprofit organizations can apply for grants of up to $10,000. The funds may be used for rebuilding and repair expenses, replacement of lost or damaged equipment, and general business operating expenses. To qualify, applicants must have been operating on or before July 1, 2025, and be located in one of 16 designated counties: Bandera, Blanco, Burnet, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, Mason, Medina, Menard, Real, or Uvalde. Additionally, they must demonstrate a negative economic impact directly resulting from the July 2026 floods.

When disasters strike, they need trusted partners who can respond in a matter of days to sustain the business and its employees,” said Amy Hereford, President and CEO of LiftFund. “Our team is prepared to help business owners stabilize, recover, and continue serving the communities that depend on them.”
Over the past year, LiftFund has deployed 525 grants and loans totaling more than $17 million in funding for small businesses across the Hill Country. The organization has a three-decade history of aiding entrepreneurs in disaster recovery, including hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and the COVID-19 pandemic, by providing responsible and affordable lending, grant administration, and educational support. Its purpose-built disaster recovery systems prioritize speed, accountability, and equitable access to capital.
“Every small business that reopens strengthens its community,” Hereford said. “When entrepreneurs can recover, employees return to work, families regain stability, and local economies begin moving forward again.”
LiftFund is also collaborating with philanthropic organizations, corporate partners, and community leaders to expand recovery resources. Additional funding will help increase access to affordable financing, grants, and business support services as recovery efforts continue.
