Liberty Puerto Rico has announced the addition of Edye, HITN's award-winning preschool content ecosystem, to its entertainment lineup. Starting this week, Liberty TV customers in Puerto Rico can subscribe to Edye for $2.99 per month as an add-on to any television package, offering a safe, ad-free Spanish-language option with curated content for children ages two to six.
Edye will be available as an à la carte option within Liberty's entertainment packages and can also be accessed through Liberty Go, the exclusive app for Liberty TV customers that provides live channel access on mobile devices and tablets. Additionally, users can enjoy Edye's content through the Edye app, available on the App Store and Google Play.
The platform features an extensive library of shows starring beloved characters like Daniel Tiger, Pocoyo, Paw Patrol, and Molang, along with games and parent guides designed to extend learning beyond screen time. With more than 2,500 episodes across over 70 preschool series, Edye reaches a growing subscriber base in the United States, Latin America, and Brazil.
“Puerto Rico has always been a core part of our audience, and this partnership lets us reach families wherever they are,” said Eric Turpin, General Manager of HITN. “Edye was created to give parents peace of mind and offer children content that supports their development. Bringing this experience to Liberty customers means even more families on the Island can turn screen time into family connection time.”
“Adding Edye to our lineup is part of our commitment to bringing Puerto Rican families the best in entertainment and education, all in one place,” said Quique Vivas, Chief Consumer Officer at Liberty. “Our customers are always looking for content they can trust for their little ones, and Edye is exactly that. We're very happy and proud to be able to offer this high-quality platform to our customers.”
This move underscores Liberty's position as the leading provider of broadband internet, video, telephone, and wireless services in Puerto Rico. It also reflects a growing trend among pay-TV providers to offer specialized, educational content to attract and retain family subscribers. For HITN, the partnership extends its reach into Puerto Rico, where it already has a strong presence through various distribution partners.
Edye's programming is designed to nurture curiosity, imagination, and the small moments of discovery that come with growing up, all through stories and characters that children love. Beyond the screen, Edye is crafted to spark conversations between parents and children, turning screen time into an opportunity for family bonding.
The service is available to Liberty customers starting this week, and those interested can learn more by visiting the Edye website or following Edye on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Liberty Puerto Rico continues to expand its offerings to meet the diverse needs of its customers, and this partnership with HITN marks a significant step in providing quality educational content for the island's youngest viewers.
