Keyrenter Property Management Hits 100 Locations with 14 New Franchise Deals

Keyrenter Property Management, a leading residential real estate franchisor, is experiencing a significant surge in growth this summer, marking a major milestone by surpassing 100 franchise locations. Since the beginning of 2026, the company has awarded 14 new territories, with five more candidates preparing for Discovery Day sessions as early as next week. The new locations span across Colorado, California, Texas, Florida, Virginia, Illinois, North Carolina, Michigan, and New Mexico, reflecting a strategic expansion into key markets.

This rapid expansion has prompted the appointment of Eric Steward, CFE, a veteran in the franchise industry, as the new Vice-President of Onboarding. Steward brings over a dozen years of experience from Pillar to Post, where he rose from marketing coordinator to senior director of franchise recruiting. His expertise in residential real estate franchising is expected to streamline the integration of new franchisees into the Keyrenter network.

Nate Tew, co-founder and CEO of Keyrenter Property Management, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, "Not only does this greatly expand our brand’s footprint, but we’ve also surpassed a significant milestone of establishing more than 100 franchise locations coast-to-coast. We’re also honored to have Eric Steward join us, who will be overseeing all activities from signed franchise agreements through the rest of the onboarding process."

The surge in franchise signings is driven by robust market conditions in the residential real estate sector. With approximately 25 million single-family rental (SFR) units in the U.S., of which only 4% are institutionally owned, there is ample opportunity for property management services. External factors such as high mortgage rates, a tightening lending environment, and a growing renter-to-buyer ratio are fueling demand for professional property management, making the franchise model attractive to entrepreneurs.

Steward, who will lead onboarding efforts, is eager to contribute to the company's growth. "Joining the team of an industry leading brand like Keyrenter is a dream come true opportunity," he said. "With the recent awarding of over a dozen new locations, I have my work cut out for me, but I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and get started."

Founded in 2007 and franchising since 2014, Keyrenter has grown to 94 franchisee partners managing 101 locations. The company offers a range of property management services, including rent collection, maintenance, and tenant placement, positioning itself as a resilient business model with recurring revenue.
