At HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 in Shanghai, Huawei Cloud unveiled a comprehensive set of enterprise AI products and services designed to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI across industries. Dr. Peter Zhou, Director of the Board at Huawei and CEO of Huawei Cloud, delivered a keynote titled "The Agentic Cloud for the Agentic World: Build Together, Grow Together," where he detailed the company's vision for an open agentic cloud. The announcements underscore Huawei Cloud's commitment to providing the infrastructure, platforms, and ecosystems necessary for enterprises to develop, deploy, and manage AI agents effectively.
The centerpiece of the launch is the latest AI Cluster Service (AICS), which is now available globally. Built on a five-level fast recovery mechanism with full-chain observability, AICS supports over 40 days of stable training on cloud and can recover from faults within 10 minutes. It delivers 20% higher token throughput than the previous generation, thanks to coordinated optimization across scheduling, cache, and algorithms. The service will be commercially available in China on September 30 and in markets outside China on November 30. This infrastructure is critical as it addresses the need for efficient token processing, enhanced memory, unified scheduling of general and AI compute, and secure autonomy in production environments. To date, Huawei Cloud's Agentic Infra has served over 3,500 customers.
Complementing AICS is the Context Memory Storage (CMS) solution, which tackles the memory capacity and access efficiency challenges of long-horizon agent tasks. CMS provides a petabyte-scale memory space, twice the storage capacity of comparable industry products, and supports high-speed terabyte-scale memory reads with 50% higher performance than industry peers. This ensures that AI agents can maintain context over extended interactions, a key requirement for complex enterprise applications.
Huawei Cloud also highlighted its Agentic Model as a Service (MaaS) platform, which brings together diverse models, enabling developers to invoke state-of-the-art models from leading providers with just one click and no deployment required. MiniMax demonstrated its advanced multimodal model at the event, showcasing how combined with Huawei Cloud, it delivers open, cutting-edge multimodal capabilities. This approach simplifies access to advanced AI models and accelerates model capabilities as services at scale.
The company's enterprise-grade agent platform, AgentArts, along with its open-source edition openJiuwen, offers more than 5,000 general Model Context Protocol (MCP) assets and over 1,000 industry-specific MCP assets. This makes it easier for enterprises to develop, use, and manage agents. The platform already serves over 100 customers, including the Shenzhen Longgang District Government, China Southern Power Grid, Guangzhou Laboratory, the University of Science and Technology of China, Kingsoft Office, Sichuan Yingu Carbon Sink Renewable Resources Co., Ltd., Changsha Thunder Cloud Network Technology Co., Ltd., and KingMed Diagnostics. Kingsoft Office shared its implementation practices, having built vertical office agents by deeply integrating the agent platform with WPS 365 Document Center and WPS Comate, now deployed across finance and government sectors. AgentArts will be commercially available outside China on December 30. The openJiuwen community has surpassed 50,000 stars and 3.29 million downloads, and Huawei Cloud has launched partner commercial editions with Chinasoft International, iSoftStone Group, and Beiming Software.
Further expanding its ecosystem, Huawei Cloud's Industry AI Foundry has accumulated more than 1,000 industry assets and over 1,000 deployed projects. It now includes five industry-specific zones—Smart Healthcare, Embodied AI, AI for Science (AI4S), Smart Manufacturing, and Smart Finance—and has added two new zones: Smart Government and AI Hardware. The Smart Government Zone has 24 founding partners covering government office operations, public services, urban governance, and industry development. The AI Hardware Zone has onboarded 15 core partners, covering over 20 device types such as AI glasses, AI toys, and AI recording cards, along with more than 10 scenario templates and over 110 scenario skills.
These efforts collectively build a thriving AI ecosystem on the cloud.
