HKTDC Hosts Seven Major Lifestyle and Licensing Events, Highlighting Hong Kong's Role as a Creative Hub

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to open seven annual lifestyle and licensing mega events next week, from April 27 to April 30, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) and AsiaWorld-Expo. The events include the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Home InStyle, Fashion InStyle, Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Licensing Show, and the Asian Licensing Conference. Organizers expect around 5,600 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions, including first-time participants from Finland, Germany, Iceland, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan.

These fairs leverage Hong Kong's unique connectivity between mainland China and international markets, reinforcing the city's status as a regional creative hub and business center, in line with the national 15th Five-Year Plan and dual circulation strategy. HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Jenny Koo emphasized that the events facilitate trade exchanges and showcase Hong Kong's strengths in new quality productive forces, product quality, and creativity. Buyers can enjoy a one-stop sourcing experience across all fairs, fostering cross-industry and cross-sectoral exchanges.

A key highlight this year is the debut of the "Reimagine" themed floor at HKCEC Hall 5, which seamlessly connects the Gifts & Premium Fair and Home InStyle. The floor features new zones such as the Selection of ASEAN, The Bespoke Hub, and the Hong Kong Smart Design Global Awards. The Cultural and Creative Avenue brings together over 110 exhibitors from more than 10 countries, partnering with Pantone to use the 2026 Color of the Year "Cloud Dancer" as a theme for home décor settings.

Home InStyle introduces innovative materials for the first time, with a new Gerontech and Innovative Material Pavilion funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission, featuring over 20 local exhibitors. The fair also addresses the silver economy through seminars co-organized with the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council, exploring the "Silver Q Mark" and certified gerontech living products.

Fashion InStyle showcases diverse materials through its NEXT@Fashion InStyle zone, with the Philippines as this year's featured partner. Over 60 global exhibitors, including Nordic countries like Iceland, Finland, and Sweden, demonstrate how materials innovation drives sustainability and industry transformation. Han Chong, founder of Self-Portrait, returns as project ambassador, leading six local designer brands in cross-disciplinary design projects that will be unveiled at the NEXT Fashion Parade on April 28.

The Printing & Packaging Fair and DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong present trends in smart technology and green packaging, emphasizing RFID and anti-counterfeiting technologies, as well as plant-based materials. Seminars will cover AI applications in printing and design, sustainability, and creative design.

The Hong Kong International Licensing Show, now in its 23rd edition, features over 600 brands and IPs, including Bandai Namco, Doraemon, and LINE FRIENDS. A new "IP and e-Commerce Support Services" Zone debuts, aligning with the HKSAR government's policy to enhance cross-border e-commerce competitiveness. The concurrent Asian Licensing Conference explores topics like global licensing trends, the emotional economy, sports licensing, and VTubers.

The events adopt the EXHIBITION+ hybrid format, using AI-driven tools like Click2Match and Scan2Match for business matching, and an on-site SmartBot service to help buyers search for products and exhibitors efficiently.
