The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to host five major exhibitions from August 13 to 17 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, all under the theme 'Live Well. Stay Well.' The events include the 36th Food Expo, 10th Beauty & Wellness Expo, 12th Home Delights Expo, 4th Food Expo PRO, and 17th Hong Kong International Tea Fair. Together, they will feature more than 1,850 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions, offering a comprehensive platform for sourcing, networking, and retail experiences.
This year marks the first time the trade fairs will include exhibitors from all ASEAN member states, with debut participations from Brunei and Timor-Leste. Additionally, Colombia and Greece are joining for the first time, reflecting the growing international appeal of these events. The Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has also organized delegations from multiple provinces to showcase premium agricultural products, using Hong Kong as a gateway to global markets.
The Food Expo PRO introduces a new 'Meat Zone' to meet rising demand for premium meats, featuring Korean frozen marinated barbecue products and halal-certified beef tendon balls from a Hong Kong brand. The popular 'Coffee Zone' returns with exhibitors from Yunnan, Colombia, and other regions, while a new 'Food Science and Technology Zone' will highlight alternative foods and intelligent food-service robots. For the first time, the expo includes pet food products, capitalizing on the expanding pet economy.
The Hong Kong International Tea Fair will showcase rare teas, including a naturally mutated purple bud pu'er tea from Yunnan and white tea from Laos. New pavilions include the Chinese Mainland Matcha Pavilion and the Yixing Zisha Teaware Pavilion, highlighting traditional craftsmanship. The 'Tea Lifestyle' zone introduces innovative products like sparkling tea and tea-based cocktails, demonstrating tea's integration into modern living.
The Beauty & Wellness Expo debuts the 'Stay Relax' zone with red-light therapy capsules and medicated balms, while the popular 'Scentsation' zone returns with an interactive fragrance experience. The Home Delights Expo focuses on quality sleep and smart living, with HKT offering discounts on smart home appliances and showcasing its award-winning broadband service.
The International Conference on the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM) will run from August 13 to 15, expanded to three days with over 30 speakers from around the world. The conference will address regulatory policies and innovative pathways for traditional medicine, supporting Hong Kong's role in the global Chinese medicine sector.
To celebrate HKTDC's 60th anniversary, special promotions include free admission before noon for the first 600 visitors daily with promotional leaflets, and exhibitors will offer various '6'-themed deals. Visitors can also participate in lucky draws and the 'Smart Bidding' session. E-tickets are available through multiple platforms, and on-site purchases can be made via AlipayHK, Octopus, and other methods.
These events underscore Hong Kong's position as an international food trading hub and a gateway to the Chinese Mainland and global markets. The focus on wellness and quality living aligns with growing consumer trends, offering significant business opportunities for exhibitors and buyers alike.
