FingerMotion Signs MOU with Lyken.AI and BlueFlare for AI Infrastructure Framework

FingerMotion Inc. (NASDAQ: FNGR) has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Lyken AI Computing Inc. (Lyken.AI) and BlueFlare Energy Solutions Inc. to establish a preferred, non-exclusive framework for matching enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) demand with potential modular behind-the-meter (BTM) capacity. The framework, initially focused on Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan, contemplates FingerMotion as the owner-operator and project sponsor, BlueFlare as the Western Canadian development partner, and Lyken as the customer-facing demand and managed-services layer.

This MOU marks a significant step in FingerMotion's foray into the AI infrastructure sector, leveraging its existing alliance with BlueFlare. According to the company, the BlueFlare relationship has evolved from a single-project discussion to a multi-site development program. FingerMotion is also in discussions with multiple natural gas suppliers and midstream counterparties regarding potential firm supply arrangements for planned BTM generation. However, no definitive gas supply agreement, capacity commitment, customer contract, project financing, or expected revenue has been established. Projects will be evaluated individually, subject to financing, site control, supply, customer commitments, regulatory approvals, and other conditions.

The importance of this announcement lies in the growing demand for AI and HPC computing power, which requires substantial energy resources. Behind-the-meter generation—where power is produced on-site, bypassing the traditional grid—offers a solution to energy bottlenecks that often hinder data center development. By positioning itself as an owner-operator and project sponsor, FingerMotion aims to capitalize on this trend, potentially creating new revenue streams and diversifying its business beyond its core mobile payment and recharge platform in China.

In the competitive landscape of AI infrastructure, companies are racing to secure energy and compute capacity. The collaboration between FingerMotion, Lyken.AI, and BlueFlare could provide a streamlined approach for enterprises seeking to deploy AI workloads, particularly in regions with abundant natural gas resources. The focus on Western Canada is strategic, given the region's energy sector and relatively low-cost power potential.

Investors should note that the MOU is non-binding and does not guarantee any financial returns. The company's stock may respond to the news, but the actual impact will depend on future definitive agreements and successful project execution. FingerMotion's core business remains its mobile payment and recharge platform in China, and this AI infrastructure initiative is an exploratory venture that could take years to materialize.
