Fairchild Gold Corp. (TSX-V: FAIR; OTCQB: FCHDF; Frankfurt: Y4Y) has engaged TerraEye to conduct a property-wide satellite-based spectral mapping and structural interpretation program at its 100%-owned Golden Arrow Gold-Silver Project in Nye County, Nevada. This move is part of Fairchild's broader effort to evaluate the full potential of the property, which currently hosts a NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate of approximately 295,000 ounces of gold and 4.36 million ounces of silver in the measured and indicated categories at the Gold Coin and Hidden Hill deposits, plus additional inferred resources.
The exploration program will combine satellite spectral analysis, image enhancement, structural lineament interpretation, and AI-assisted pattern recognition to assess mineralogical and alteration signatures across the entire property. Particular emphasis will be placed on underexplored areas beyond the known deposits and around historic mine workings. By integrating TerraEye's results with existing geological, geochemical, geophysical, and historical datasets, Fairchild aims to refine exploration targets and identify promising areas for field follow-up.
The Golden Arrow project has a rich history of drilling, with more than 61,000 metres completed, primarily focused on the two known deposits. However, the broader property remains underexplored, and this program is designed to unlock its full potential. "We are excited to leverage TerraEye's advanced remote sensing capabilities to systematically evaluate the Golden Arrow property," said a company spokesperson. "This technology allows us to cover large areas efficiently and pinpoint anomalies that may indicate mineralization, helping us prioritize targets for future drilling."
The use of satellite-based spectral mapping is a cost-effective method to identify alteration minerals often associated with gold and silver deposits. By analyzing the spectral signatures of surface materials, TerraEye can map clay, iron oxides, and other minerals that may indicate hydrothermal alteration. Structural interpretation and AI-assisted pattern recognition further enhance the ability to detect subtle trends and zones of interest that might be overlooked by traditional exploration methods.
Fairchild Gold is a Nevada-focused mineral exploration and development company with a portfolio of three complementary assets: Nevada Titan, Golden Arrow, and Carlin Queen. Nevada Titan is the company's flagship high-impact copper-gold exploration project in the historic Goodsprings Mining District. Golden Arrow provides an established open-pit gold-silver resource within the prolific Walker Lane mineral belt, while Carlin Queen offers additional gold-silver exploration exposure near the intersection of the Carlin and Midas-Hollister mineral trends. The company's strategy is to build a significant Nevada-focused platform combining established resources with opportunities for major new discoveries.
The final technical report from the TerraEye program is currently scheduled for late October 2026. This timeline suggests that Fairchild is taking a methodical approach to exploration, allowing ample time for data analysis and integration. The results will be crucial in guiding the company's next steps, which may include field verification, geochemical sampling, and ultimately drilling of high-priority targets.
Investors and stakeholders will be watching closely as Fairchild seeks to expand its resource base and potentially uncover new deposits. The exploration program at Golden Arrow is a key component of the company's growth strategy, and the use of cutting-edge technology demonstrates a commitment to efficient and effective exploration. As the program progresses, updates are expected to provide further insight into the project's potential.
