ESGold Corp. Launches 5,000-Metre Drill Program at Montauban Project to Advance Toward Resource Estimate

ESGold Corp. (CSE: ESAU) (OTCQB: ESAUF) has commenced its 2026 surface diamond drilling program at the Montauban Project, located approximately 120 kilometres west of Québec City, Québec. The program, which calls for about 5,000 metres across 29 proposed drill holes, is primarily focused on the historic Montauban mine area. The objective is to validate previously identified mineralization, test continuity between historical drill holes and mineralized panels, and investigate potential extensions into areas that have not been sufficiently tested.

The company stated that the new drilling, geological, and analytical data will contribute to its evolving three-dimensional geological model and help determine what additional work may be required to support a current mineral resource estimate under National Instrument 43-101 (NI 43-101). ESGold cautioned that historical estimates referenced in previous technical reports should not be treated as current mineral resources or reserves, as they may not be reliable and further work is needed to verify them.

This drill program is a significant step for ESGold as it moves toward establishing a current resource estimate, which is a critical milestone for the project's development. The Montauban Project is the company's flagship gold-silver asset and is currently under construction, with production anticipated in 2026. The company is fully permitted and fully funded, positioning it to advance the project efficiently.

ESGold is pursuing a dual-track strategy of generating cash flow from near-term production while also focusing on exploration to discover additional resources. The results from this drill program will be integral to updating the geological model and planning future drilling or other development activities. The company is committed to clean and sustainable mining practices, aiming to deliver long-term shareholder value.
