Easy Dynamics (EZD) has secured a new contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to provide operations and maintenance for the Grants Management Reporting System (GMRS) and support the Grants Modernization Initiative (GMI) for the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). The 2.5-year, $8 million contract begins in September 2026.
Under this agreement, EZD will maintain and enhance GMRS operations while supporting NIFA's grant management modernization. These improvements aim to increase system reliability, data quality, and application performance. This win underscores the importance of modernizing government grant systems to ensure efficient and secure management of federal funds.
"Expanding our work with USDA gives us the opportunity to further strengthen NIFA's grants management systems and support its modernization journey," said Greg Gordon, Chief Delivery Officer of EZD. "Our team excels at delivering dependable, secure application operations and modernization support, and we look forward to helping NIFA maintain continuity, improve service delivery, and advance its Grants Modernization Initiative."
The new contract further strengthens EZD's relationship with USDA. Last year, EZD secured a recompete to continue its identity management work for the department. In 2024, EZD was awarded a 10-year Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) on the USDA Stratus contract vehicle. These achievements establish EZD as a long-term technology partner across multiple USDA mission areas and demonstrate the company's commitment to excellence, trust, and modernization.
"This win highlights EZD's commitment to delivering results and building trust with our federal clients," said EZD CEO Poupak Afshar. "Supporting USDA's mission is a privilege, and I'm grateful to our team for their consistent dedication and expertise."
The implications of this announcement are significant for federal grant management. By modernizing NIFA's systems, EZD is helping to streamline how agricultural research and education grants are administered, potentially reducing processing times and improving transparency. This contract also signals the government's ongoing push to upgrade legacy IT systems, which is critical for cybersecurity and operational efficiency. For Easy Dynamics, it represents a deepening of its footprint within USDA, positioning the company for further growth in the federal sector. The company's focus on ICAM, Cloud Modernization, Risk Management, and Automation & Resiliency aligns well with the government's modernization priorities.
EZD's ongoing partnership with USDA shows the impact the company aims to deliver for all clients. The team remains committed to building lasting relationships with every organization it serves, ensuring that federal agencies have the technological support needed to meet their missions effectively.
