Debt.com's 2026 FinTalk Awards Spotlight Hispanic Financial Education

Debt.com is set to announce the winner of the Best Spanish-Language Financial Content Creator category at the 2026 FinTalk Awards, an honor that underscores the growing need for financial education tailored to the Hispanic community in the United States. The category recognizes creators who use digital platforms to make financial topics like saving, investing, debt management, and financial planning more accessible to Spanish speakers. Public voting remains open through October 9, with participants allowed up to three votes per day to support their favorite creators.

The five nominees for the 2026 award are María Mercedes Velasquez (@soymmvelasquez), a certified public accountant and master’s degree holder in finance who helps women over 40 take control of their money; Daniela Salazar (@neurodany), known as NeuroDany, an author of two books on money and personal growth who educates on investing, trading, and personal finance through digital platforms and workshops; Alex / MoneyAcción (@moneyaccion), creator of the MoneyAcción platform, who uses a simple and humorous approach to explain saving, investing, and debt management; Elizabeth Inciarte (@mamaperonoaburrida), a mother and content creator who shows that you don’t need to be a millionaire to start investing and building a stronger financial future; and Xavier Serbia (@xavierserbia), a communicator with over two decades of experience covering economic and financial topics, recognized for explaining complex concepts clearly and practically for Hispanic audiences. These nominees exemplify the diverse voices working to break down barriers in financial education.

The significance of this award lies in its potential to amplify financial literacy within a community where access to clear, relevant, and culturally accessible information can be a game-changer. According to Don Silvestri, President of Debt.com, “For millions of Hispanics in the United States, having access to clear and trustworthy financial education in Spanish can make a real difference in how they manage their money and build their financial future. We are excited to see a new generation of creators using digital platforms to break down barriers, simplify complex topics, and empower our community to make better financial decisions.” His words highlight the broader mission of the FinTalk Awards, which were created to recognize creators and institutions transforming how people learn about and manage their finances.

The FinTalk Awards have previously honored prominent Hispanic financial educators: Rey Martínez was named Best Hispanic Creator in 2025, and Juan Sánchez received the honor in 2024. This track record demonstrates Debt.com’s ongoing commitment to elevating voices that serve the Hispanic community. The 2026 winner will be announced on October 9, after voting closes. Consumers can learn more about the nominees and cast their votes by visiting the official Spanish-language 2026 FinTalk Awards page. This initiative not only celebrates individual creators but also reinforces the importance of financial education as a tool for economic empowerment.

As the Hispanic population continues to grow in the U.S., the demand for financial content in Spanish becomes increasingly critical. The FinTalk Awards serve as a catalyst for raising awareness about the resources available and encouraging more creators to contribute to this vital field. By recognizing excellence in Spanish-language financial content, Debt.com is helping to ensure that more individuals have the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions.
