Datavault AI Inc. (NASDAQ: DVLT), a provider of data monetization, credentialing, digital engagement and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization technologies, announced it has entered into a Mutual Services Agreement and Statement of Work with Perpetuals.com Ltd. (NASDAQ: PDC) to list Datavault AI RWA token programs on the Perpetuals exchange platform. The agreement targets trading on regulated venues, including PM MTF Ltd., an EU-licensed Multilateral Trading Facility regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission.
The initial program covered under the agreement is the MTB Copper project, with provisions for future expansion to additional commodity programs spanning gold, copper, geothermal energy infrastructure, U.S. strategic minerals and European iron-nickel resources. Datavault AI said the agreement provides a regulated trading venue for tokenized physical commodity assets that have historically been accessible mainly to institutional commodity traders, large-scale investors and those with access to specialized futures markets.
The company stated that three programs carry confirmed combined targeted issuance of more than $328 million. The broader portfolio includes GoldVault(TM), Coppercoin(TM), MTB Copper, Triton Geothermal and the American Strategic Minerals Digital Asset Program, with implementation expected in phases beginning with MTB Copper. This announcement marks a significant step in bridging traditional commodity markets with blockchain-based tokenization, potentially opening up investment opportunities in physical commodities to a broader range of investors. By securing a regulated trading venue, Datavault AI aims to address the historical barriers that have limited access to commodity trading, such as high minimum investments and complex logistics.
The partnership with Perpetuals.com Ltd., which operates a NASDAQ-listed entity, lends credibility and regulatory oversight to the tokenization process. The initial focus on the MTB Copper project, with a combined targeted issuance exceeding $328 million across three programs, underscores the scale of the initiative. Future expansion into gold, geothermal energy, and strategic minerals could further diversify the tokenized asset offerings.
Datavault AI is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, and its technology suite includes AI- and machine-learning-based automation, third-party integration, and detailed analytics. The company's platform serves multiple industries, including high-performance computing software licensing for sports & entertainment, biotech, fintech, real estate, healthcare, and energy. The move into tokenized commodities aligns with broader trends in the Web 3.0 environment, where real-world assets are increasingly being digitized for fractional ownership and trading. For investors, this development could mean access to previously illiquid asset classes with enhanced transparency and efficiency.
