DATAGROUP Lowers Fiscal 2025/2026 Guidance Amid Strategic Investments

DATAGROUP SE (ISIN DE000A41YEV7) has adjusted its financial outlook for the fiscal year 2025/2026, citing a persistently weak market environment and the impact of strategic investments. The company now expects revenue to be in the range of EUR 565-575 million, which would essentially match the prior year's figure of EUR 566 million. This guidance aligns with the previously communicated flat revenue trend.

More significantly, the German IT service provider has lowered its earnings expectations. EBITDA is now projected to be between EUR 71-74 million, down from EUR 84.1 million in the previous year. EBIT is expected to range from EUR 33-36 million, compared to EUR 47.3 million last year. The company had earlier anticipated slight year-over-year increases in both metrics.

The downward revision is primarily attributed to one-time effects totaling EUR 10-11 million related to the implementation of strategic measures. These measures are investments in future-oriented fields and are intended to drive growth once the revenue trend stabilizes. The company emphasized that these are deliberate investments to position itself for long-term success.

According to the announcement, the market environment remains subdued, which has also contributed to the earnings pressure. DATAGROUP, which employs approximately 4,000 people across Germany and, since June 2026, in the Netherlands, designs, implements, and operates IT infrastructures and business applications. Its CORBOX product serves as a full-service offering for global IT workplaces in medium and large enterprises as well as public authorities.

The company continues to pursue a growth strategy through both organic expansion and acquisitions. Its acquisition approach focuses on the seamless integration of new companies, and it actively participates in the consolidation of the IT services market through its "buy and turn around" and "buy and build" strategies.

Investors and analysts will be watching closely to see how these strategic investments unfold and whether they will indeed translate into future growth as the company navigates the current challenging market conditions.
