Critical Infrastructure Technologies Ltd. (CSE: CTTT) (OTC: CITLF) (FRA: X9V) announced on March 17, 2026, that it will enter a joint venture to develop and deploy an Arctic-ready version of its Nexus autonomous communications and security platform. The equally owned JV will focus on adapting the Nexus system for extreme-environment conditions, establish a facility in British Columbia for integration and Arctic testing, and target customers in defence and commercial industries across North America.
The Arctic Nexus platform is designed to support communications, monitoring, and operations in remote environments, including northern defence and industrial applications. The joint venture will seek to address the growing market for Arctic defence, surveillance, and communications infrastructure, driven by increasing strategic activity across northern regions, as highlighted by Prime Minister Mark Carney's recent announcement of $32 billion in far north defence upgrades.
Under the proposed agreement, CiTech will contribute a Nexus platform unit and provide engineering support to adapt the system for Arctic conditions. The JV partners will collaboratively develop new intellectual property, including Arctic readiness, sensor integration, and scaled deployment.
