CAHEC, a community development organization focused on affordable housing and supportive services, has announced the appointment of Corine Sheridan to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2026. Sheridan brings more than four decades of experience in affordable housing finance and investment, a move that bolsters CAHEC's strategic leadership as it continues to expand its mission across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Sheridan retired in late 2024 after a distinguished career. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and Head of Acquisitions at Berkadia from 2021 to 2024, where she led the Tax Credit Syndication team's nationwide origination and acquisition strategy. Prior to that, she spent nearly two decades at Boston Capital as Director of Originations, from 2003 to 2021, developing and executing the firm's targeted origination strategy and directing capital to communities with critical housing needs. In 2024, she co-founded Sheridan Consulting, a firm that provides financial and organizational expertise to nonprofits, housing authorities, and other affordable housing practitioners.
Her board service includes roles with the Light House Shelter in Annapolis, Maryland; the Anne Arundel County Affordable Housing Coalition; and the Real Estate Committee of True Ground (formerly Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing) in Arlington, Virginia. These roles underscore her dedication to addressing housing instability and supporting vulnerable populations.
