Burrow & Associates, LLC, a Georgia-based law firm, has announced the launch of the Burrow & Associates Road to Recovery Scholarship, a $1,000 award designed to support one deserving student with tuition, books, and other academic expenses. The scholarship is open to students across the United States who are enrolled in or accepted to an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional program, including community college students, high school seniors, and GED holders. Applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate a genuine commitment to helping others through difficult times.
The application process requires students to submit an essay of no more than 1,000 words addressing three prompts about helping others through injury, illness, and hardship. In addition to the essay, applicants must provide a current resume and an unofficial transcript. All materials should be emailed to scholarships@legalatlanta.com by the deadline of August 31, 2027. The scholarship recipient will be announced on October 1, 2027.
Unlike many scholarships that target future legal professionals, this award is intentionally open to students in any field of study. The firm emphasizes that qualifying applicants might include someone who cares for a family member after an accident, volunteers with individuals healing from an injury or illness, or helps a neighbor recover from a difficult year. This broad eligibility reflects the firm's belief that recovery and rebuilding are supported by people from all walks of life.
Darrell L. Burrow, founding attorney of Burrow & Associates, explained the motivation behind the scholarship: "After a serious injury, recovery depends on the people who step in to help, and we have seen firsthand how much that support matters for our own clients. This scholarship is our way of recognizing students who have taken real action to help others recover and rebuild, and who plan to keep doing that work long after they graduate."
Burrow & Associates has been assisting Georgia residents with legal matters since 1996. The firm handles personal injury and consumer bankruptcy cases from multiple offices in the Atlanta area. Over the years, they have secured millions of dollars across more than 10,000 personal injury settlements, building a reputation for treating clients with dignity, offering honest advice, and providing compassionate representation. The Road to Recovery Scholarship is part of the firm's ongoing commitment to the communities it serves, aiming to encourage and support students who embody the same spirit of resilience and service.
For questions about the scholarship or the application process, students are directed to email burrowscholarship@legalatlanta.com. The office cannot accept phone inquiries regarding the scholarship. This initiative underscores the firm's dedication to fostering a culture of support and recovery, extending beyond the courtroom to the next generation of leaders who prioritize helping others in times of need.
