Brazil Potash CEO to Speak at IDB Annual Meeting on Global Food Security, Highlighting Autazes Project's Role in Reducing Import Dependence

Brazil Potash Corp. (NYSE-American: GRO) announced that its CEO, Matt Simpson, has been invited to participate as a speaker on a Global Food Security Panel at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Annual Meeting of Governors, scheduled to take place in Asunción, Paraguay. The IDB Annual Meeting is a major international development finance gathering that includes representatives from member nations, multilateral institutions, and global investors.

The invitation highlights growing recognition of the company's Autazes Project as a potential contributor to Brazil's fertilizer independence. Brazil currently imports over 95% of its potash fertilizer despite being one of the world's leading agricultural exporters and possessing what is anticipated to be one of the largest undeveloped potash basins globally. The Autazes Project aims to reduce this vulnerability by supplying domestic potash, thereby supporting global food security challenges.

Brazil is critical for global food security due to its abundant fresh water, arable land, and ideal climate for year-round crop growth. However, its heavy reliance on potash imports poses a significant risk. The Autazes Project is designed to produce up to 2.4 million tons of potash annually, which could supply approximately 20% of Brazil's current potash demand. Management anticipates that 100% of the production will be sold domestically, reducing Brazil's dependence on imports and mitigating approximately 1.4 million tons of GHG emissions per year.

The potash produced will be transported primarily using low-cost river barges on an inland river system in partnership with Amaggi (www.amaggi.com.br), one of Brazil's largest farmers and logistical operators of agricultural products. This efficient logistics strategy is expected to lower costs and environmental impact.

Brazil Potash's participation in the IDB Annual Meeting underscores the project's alignment with broader goals of sustainable agriculture and food security. As global attention turns to reducing supply chain vulnerabilities, the Autazes Project represents a strategic initiative to enhance Brazil's self-sufficiency in fertilizers. The company's management believes that by developing domestic potash production, Brazil can strengthen its position as a key player in global food production while contributing to environmental sustainability.
