Aseon Labs has emerged from stealth to address a critical bottleneck in the autonomous vehicle industry: the infrastructure needed to keep fleets running continuously. The company is introducing a new category of infrastructure called "reset pods" — modular, robotic units deployed within cities that allow autonomous vehicles to independently charge, clean, inspect, recalibrate, and reset themselves without traveling to centralized depots.
Autonomous vehicles already operate in major cities, but the systems that support them are inefficient. Fleets often leave their service areas multiple times a day to travel 10–15 miles to depots for servicing, resulting in up to an hour lost per maintenance cycle plus additional travel time. In some markets, nearly half of total miles are driven empty, much of it tied to servicing logistics. As fleets expand, this off-road infrastructure is emerging as the primary constraint on growth.
Aseon's reset pods are designed to fit within a single parking space and require no permanent construction. They can be delivered via flatbed truck and operational within 24 hours in locations such as parking lots, gas stations, and roadside infrastructure. The pods integrate with existing DC fast-charging networks, allowing EV infrastructure operators to increase utilization while giving autonomous fleets access to distributed servicing. Aseon operates the pods as a managed network, charging fleet operators on a usage basis while handling deployment and maintenance.
The economic benefits are significant. Aseon estimates its infrastructure can reduce reset costs by approximately 50% and cut downtime by up to 65%, while increasing revenue per vehicle by more than $50,000 annually. "Autonomous vehicles aren't failing on the road — they're failing in the parking lot," said Dan Keene, Co-Founder of Aseon Labs. "When you bring servicing into the operating zone, you fundamentally change the economics of the entire system."
Aseon is creating a new category: autonomous fleet infrastructure. The company is engaged with autonomous vehicle operators and major infrastructure partners, including leading EV charging network providers and commercial real estate stakeholders, and has begun allocating early pilot deployments.
